Twitter Door- The kids can tweet about what is happening. There are 30
laminated sentences strips so everyone (including the teacher) has a
place to "tweet" on the door.
I like this idea of a community blog spot. I envision focusing on a core lit story, character traits, share math ideas, etc. Each week could have a different focus.
I could see it as an extension of the way we use Edmodo already, such as critical thinking questions, polls, and sharing opinions. Definitely has possibilities!
I think you could tie this to the flipped classroom...the kids could watch the lesson at night and tweet on the door as they come in to the classroom the next day.
I copied this off "Pinterest". What a great way to check for understanding and also engage the students in thinking!
ReplyDeleteI could see this working in many grade levels and for a wide range of topics. My kids have no problem sharing what's on their mind! I like it.
DeleteThis twitter door idea could also be used with whiteboards..for class wide tweets
DeleteUsing your whiteboards for tweets is a cool idea. The kids could tweet quick responses to any type of learning.
DeleteIt may be quicker too..and kids may feel safer if everyone is responding at the same time...

DeleteIt posted in the wrong spot.....
DeleteI was thinking that you may want to use the library door and not the main entry door as it already gets crazy as the kids come in each morning.
I love this! We could also post a daily question and the kids could weigh in on it.
ReplyDeleteLove that idea!
